Our Patron
St. Dominic de Guzman
St. Dominic School is proudly named after St. Dominic de Guzman, our patron and guiding model, whose life continues to inspire generations.
Born in 12th-century Spain, St. Dominic de Guzman was the noble heir to the throne of Felix de Guzman. Surrounded by wealth and privilege, he had access to every comfort life could offer. Yet, moved by a deep spirit of faith and an ardent love for humanity, he chose a life of service over luxury.
Inspired by the Gospel, St. Dominic founded the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) and dedicated his entire life to spreading the Word of God. He worked tirelessly to uplift the poor, care for the sick, and bring hope to the downtrodden. His life was marked by humility, purity, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to truth and compassion.
At St. Dominic School, we hold up his life as a model for our students — a life not driven by worldly attractions, but by a genuine concern for the good of others. Through his example, we inspire our students to grow not only in knowledge, but also in character, service, and faith.
St. Dominic’s legacy continues to guide our mission of forming young minds that are intellectually strong, morally upright, and socially responsible.
