

The corridors of St. Dominic’s School resonated with joy and gratitude on 5th September 2025, as the institution celebrated Teachers’ Day with profound enthusiasm. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the educators who dedicate their lives to nurturing the minds and characters of the next generation.
The celebration commenced with a solemn prayer service led by the students of Class 10. Through soulful hymns and reflections, the student body sought divine blessings for the health and well-being of their mentors.
Following the spiritual opening, the Class 10 students took centre stage to present a vibrant cultural programme. The assembly was treated to a variety of performances that showcased the students’ creative talents:
A Graceful Welcome Dance: Symbolising respect and tradition.
Humorous and Insightful Skits: Depicting the unique bond between teachers and students.
A Melodious Wishing Song: A collective vocal tribute expressing love and appreciation.
The event also served as a platform to celebrate student achievements. A formal prize distribution ceremony was held to honour the winners of various school competitions. The Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Sunil Christopher D’Souza, and the Principal, Rev. Fr. Francis Arun D’Souza, presented the awards, reinforcing the school’s commitment to rewarding merit and hard work.
In their addresses to the assembly, the dignitaries highlighted the pivotal role of educators within the CBSE framework of holistic development.
Rev. Fr. Sunil D’Souza emphasised that teachers are the architects of a nation’s future.
Rev. Fr. Francis D’Souza commended the students for their initiative and encouraged them to carry the values of respect and discipline beyond the classroom.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of sweets, leaving both staff and students with memories of a day defined by mutual respect and the spirit of the Dominican family.
