Joyous Christmas: Celebrating the Spirit of Peace and Harmony

The festive spirit of Christmas enveloped the School Auditorium at St. Dominic’s School, Bantwal, on 23rd December 2025, as students from the Foundational Stage (Nursery to Grade 2) came together for a morning of spiritual grace and vibrant celebration. The event was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering a holistic environment where cultural traditions and core values of empathy and togetherness are celebrated with great fervour.

The programme commenced with a solemn prayer service and a graceful prayer dance by the students of Grade 1, setting a serene tone for the festivities. This was followed by a warm welcome address and a rhythmic dance performance, ensuring the audience felt the true warmth of the Dominican hospitality.

Event Highlights & Joyful Expressions

The celebration was marked by a series of performances that showcased the immense talent of the young Dominicans:

  • Melodious Carols: The UKG students filled the air with harmony, performing traditional Christmas carols that captured the essence of the season.

  • Dynamic Dances: The tiny tots of Nursery and LKG captivated the audience with their lively movements, while Grade 2 students presented a graceful thematic dance.

  • Theatrical Skit: A creative skit performed by Grade 2 students effectively conveyed the timeless message of peace and goodwill, aligning with the CBSE guidelines for value-based education.

  • Prize Distribution: Teachers facilitated an award ceremony to recognise student achievements, reinforcing the institution’s culture of appreciation.

In an inspiring address, the Correspondent highlighted the significance of the season, while the Principal’s speech encouraged the young minds to internalise the values of love, sharing, and kindness. The arrival of Santa Claus brought a wave of excitement, culminating in a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony that represented the school’s unified spirit.
