In alignment with the CBSE directive for continuous professional development, St. Dominic’s School conducted a rigorous In-House Training Programme for its teaching faculty in 2025. This initiative serves as a cornerstone of the school’s commitment to Innovation and Academic Excellence, ensuring that the institution remains at the forefront of modern educational trends. The training sessions were designed to bridge the gap between traditional teaching and the dynamic needs of 21st-century learners.
The programme fostered a collaborative environment where educators exchanged insights, refined their instructional techniques, and embraced the school’s core value of Holistic Growth for every student.

The 2025 In-House sessions were meticulously curated to address the evolving landscape of Indian education. The faculty engaged in hands-on workshops that prioritised student-centric learning and emotional intelligence.
Competency-Based Education (CBE): Teachers developed lesson plans focused on real-world application, moving beyond textbooks to ensure students master specific skills and concepts.
Art-Integrated Learning: In keeping with CBSE standards, the training explored ways to blend various art forms into subjects like Mathematics and Science to make learning more engaging.
Inclusive Classroom Strategies: Specialised sessions focused on identifying and supporting diverse learning needs, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to providing an equitable education for all.
Digital Fluency: Advanced training in educational software and interactive tools was provided to further enhance the school’s Smart Classroom capabilities.
The institution believes that an empowered teacher is the primary catalyst for student success. Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Francis Arun D’Souza, the Principal, the training emphasised the role of a teacher as a facilitator and mentor rather than a mere lecturer.
“Investing in our teachers is an investment in the future of our students. By refining our skills in-house, we ensure that the Dominican legacy of excellence continues to evolve.” — School Management.
By conducting these sessions within the school environment, the faculty was able to address specific classroom challenges and develop tailored solutions that reflect the unique cultural and academic spirit of St. Dominic’s School.
