policy update: Senior leaders from the world’s leading research..
St. Dominic’s School, located in Mariashram, Badakabail, cordially invites all parents and guardians to the Parents Teachers Interface for the academic year 2026-27. This event is dedicated to fostering strong communication and collaboration between the school and the families of our younger students.
The administration has organized this gathering specifically for the early and primary grades to ensure personalized attention and focused discussions regarding student development.
Grades: Nursery to Grade 5
Chief Guest: We are honored to welcome Rev. Fr. Edward Rodrigues SJ as the chief guest for the occasion.
Communication This is the foundation of the relationship. It involves maintaining an open, honest, and two-way dialogue between home and school. Regular updates about a child’s academic progress, social behavior, and any challenges ensure that both parents and teachers are on the same page.
Trust Trust means having confidence that both the parents and the educators have the child’s absolute best interests at heart. When parents trust the teacher’s expertise and teachers trust the parents’ insights into their child, it creates a secure environment for the student.
Collaboration Rather than working in isolation, collaboration means parents and teachers act as a unified team. They actively work together to brainstorm solutions, share resources, and support the child’s learning journey both in the classroom and at home.
Respect This involves valuing each other’s distinct roles, time, and perspectives. Teachers respect the diverse backgrounds and family dynamics of their students, while parents respect the teacher’s professional boundaries, classroom rules, and educational methods.
Empathy Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. For parents, it means understanding the challenges of managing a busy classroom. For teachers, it means being sensitive to the unique pressures or circumstances a family might be experiencing at home.
Consistency Children thrive on routine and clear expectations. Consistency means aligning the rules, behavioral expectations, and academic support strategies so that the child receives the same message at school as they do at home.
Appreciation This key focuses on recognizing and acknowledging each other’s hard work. A simple “thank you” goes a long way. When parents appreciate the teacher’s dedication and teachers acknowledge the parents’ active involvement, it fosters a positive and encouraging community.
As represented by our educational tree symbol, a child’s success flourishes best when rooted in strong home-school partnerships. By keeping the Seven Keys active in our daily interactions, we ensure an encouraging and nurturing environment for every student from Nursery to Grade 5. Thank you to all our parents for taking this crucial step with us toward building a brighter tomorrow.
