INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION

The event commenced precisely at 9:30 AM in the beautifully decorated School Auditorium. The school
was deeply honored to welcome Mr. Umesh Poojary, an esteemed Patanjali Sanchari Trainer from
Ganjimata, as the Chief Guest and key resource person for the day.
The celebration began with a solemn invocation and the traditional lighting of the lamp. Following the
formal welcome, Mr. Umesh Poojary addressed the gathering. In his enlightening address, he
emphasized that yoga is not merely physical exercise but a holistic practice that unifies the mind, body,
and spirit. He spoke about the crucial role yoga plays in reducing student stress, improving focus during
academics, and maintaining physical fitness in today’s fast-paced digital era.

Key Takeaway from Chief Guest Mr. Umesh Poojary:
“Yoga is a timeless gift to humanity that nurtures resilience, concentration, and internal peace. For a
student, a daily disciplined practice of pranayama and asanas can unlock boundless mental clarity
and joyful learning.”

Following the address, Mr. Poojary led an interactive and invigorating practical yoga session. The
students and faculty members, equipped with their yoga mats, enthusiastically performed various
foundational postures (Asanas) guided by his precise instructions and demonstrations.
The session included basic breathing exercises (Pranayama) to boost respiratory health, followed by a
series of stretching and balancing poses such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and Padmasana. The session
concluded with a calming deep-relaxation meditation that left the entire auditorium filled with a palpable
sense of peace and positive energy.

The celebration wrapped up with a formal Vote of Thanks, expressing profound gratitude to the Chief
Guest for sharing his valuable time and expertise. The Principal commended the physical education
department, staff, and students for making the event a grand success. The day served as a powerful
reminder that yoga is a lifelong journey toward health and harmony.
