Green Vitality: St. Dominic’s School Celebrates Vanamahotsava 2026
In alignment with its commitment to fostering environmental stewardship, St. Dominic’s School, Mariashram, grandly celebrated Vanamahotsava 2026 on July 15, 2026, at the School Auditorium. Guided by the profoundly relevant theme, “Healing the Earth through Greener Initiatives,” the event brought together students, management, and faculty to champion the cause of a cleaner, greener tomorrow.
The program commenced at 10:00 AM with a solemn prayer service invoking blessings on mother nature, followed by an array of cultural expressions. Students put up an eco-themed skit highlighting the critical need for forest conservation and performed thematic dances celebrating the beauty and bounty of the Earth.
Words of Wisdom from the Chief Guest
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. Nandakishore S (Associate Professor, Govt First Grade College for Women, Puttur). In his address, Prof. Nandakishore emphasized the pressing need for youth-led environmental movements. He reminded the gathering that small, daily actions—like reducing plastic usage and caring for campus flora—collectively lead to massive ecological healing.
School dignitaries, including the Principal and management representatives, shared the stage, commending the Eco Club and the student body for organizing a highly impactful program.
Celebrating Excellence: Prize Distribution
To instill a spirit of healthy competition and eco-awareness, various environment-centric competitions were conducted leading up to the celebration day. The high point of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where students were honored for their creative talents and dedication.
